In 2020, I founded Lume Design Lab to offer pure and completely independent lighting consultancy.
I collaborate with architecture and engineering firms, and private clients, translating technical complexities, regulations, and the latest technologies into concrete and integrated solutions, from the conceptual phases to on-site assistance and final commissioning.

Behind every calculation or technological choice, however, my ultimate goal remains the same: to create the “right” space. An environment where light doesn’t simply illuminate, but welcomes, enhances, and makes people feel perfectly in tune with the space they’re living in.

There is a subtle difference between simply lighting a space and truly bringing light to it.
Lighting is a mechanical act; shaping light means revealing the essence of a place, governing shadows, and dialoguing with volumes to give form, rhythm, and function to space.

I believe that light is not a simple furnishing element or a mere mathematical calculation of lumens, but a real invisible construction material.

We often step into a room and feel an underlying sense of discomfort without quite knowing why: almost always, the answer lies in the light. Light holds the invisible power to shape our mood and our perception of time.
This is why my approach goes beyond managing artificial light; it begins with the study of daylight itself. Both must integrate seamlessly with the architecture to evoke emotion—optimizing visual comfort, energy sustainability, and spatial identity, but above all, ensuring spaces truly serve their intended purpose.

Every project is a process of subtraction: I seek the perfect balance where the luminaire disappears to give center stage to the light effect, creating quiet atmospheres where psycho-physical comfort and emotion meet the geometric rigor of space.
